freshman...made nine starts behind the plate, helping USI to a 6-3 record
during that time...hit .267 with a home run, two doubles, and two RBIs...saw
a lot of action as a pinch-runner, racking up nine runs scored...had two
multi-hit games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Reitz High School (Evansville) where she played softball for four years...earned Academic All-City honors...helped her travel team to the 2005 Kentucky-Indiana NSA State Championship and an appearance in the 2006 NSA World Series.
PERSONAL: Born November 28, 1988...daughter of David Monks and LeAnn Chapman...earned Academic Honors and the Outstanding Business Student Award...president of the RHS Business Professionals of America in 2006-07.
