A two-run homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning by Indianapolis catcher Courtney Poulos snapped a streak of 26 consecutive scoreless innings by USI’s opposition.
Despite giving up the two-run homerun and 11 hits, Emmons (7-5) held on to pick up the complete game victory. She helped herself offensively by going 2-of-4 from the plate.
