Eagles finish opening weekend 0-4,

KENNESAW, Ga.—The University of Southern Indiana softball team completed its opening weekend with a 6-0 setback to Wayne State University Saturday afternoon at the Owl Classic.
USI gave up a pair of runs in the top of the first, three runs in the third, and another in the fourth inning as it dropped to 0-4 on the season.
Junior pitcher Missy Grover (Mishawaka, Indiana) was charged with the loss after giving up six runs, five earned, off seven hits in 3 2/3 innings of work. She falls to 0-2 on the season.
As a team, the Screaming Eagles committed four errors and were held to just four hits as they were shutout for the second time this season.
USI opens its 2005 home schedule Tuesday when it hosts St. Mary-of-the-Woods in a 3 p.m. doubleheader at the new USI Softball Field.
