Baines nets All-GLVC honors

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana women's basketball sophomore forward
Jasmine Baines (Jeffersonville, Indiana) has earned honorable mention All-GLVC honors in a vote by the leagues' coaches.
Baines led the Screaming Eagles with 14.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in 2005-06. She finished the regular season ranked fourth in the GLVC in scoring and 12th in the conference in field goal percentage (.499). She also ranked 14th in the league with 0.60 blocked shots per game.
In 30 games this season, Baines scored in double figures in 24 games and had 20 or more points in five of those contests. She also posted two double-doubles.
USI finished the season with a 15-15 overall record and a 7-12 mark in the GLVC.
The GLVC Player of the Year went to Mary Moskal of Lewis University, while Freshman of the Year honors went to Bellarmine University's Dana Beaven. Northern Kentucky University's Nancy Winstel was named the GLVC Coach of the Year.
