2007:
Had a break-out year in the back row for the Eagles as a junior...racked up
441 digs, averaging a team-best 4.12 digs per game...ranked 10th in the GLVC
with 4.43 digs per game in conference-only matches...tied the former
single-match school record with 33 digs against St. Cloud State...set the
single-match school record with 37 digs against Quincy less than a week
later...had 10 or more digs in 17 matches and 20 or more digs in 10
matches...needs just 197 more digs to become the eighth player in school
history to reach 1,000 in her career.
2006: Averaged 1.61 digs per game as a sophomore...played in 27 matches and 93 games, recording 150 digs and a .955 serve-receive percentage...recorded 10 or more digs in 18 matches and 20 or more digs in seven matches...had a season-high 30 digs against Lewis in the regular season...had 25 digs against Rockhurst and 23 digs against Lewis in the GLVC Tournament...recorded 26 digs against South Dakota.
2005: Played in 25 matches and 71 games as a freshman...was second on the team with 2.99 digs per game...posted 10 or more digs in nine matches and had 20 or more digs in five matches...recorded a season-best 24 digs on three occasions.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Forest Park High School earned four varsity letters in volleyball and track...helped FHS to sectional championships in 2002 and 2003 as well as a regional runner-up in 2003...earned Blue Chip All-Conference honors in 2003 and 2004 and was named first-team All-State in 2004...led FHS in digs in 2002 and 2003 as well as kills in 2003 and 2004...played USAV volleyball for River City for five years.
PERSONAL: Born April 30, 1987...daughter of Paul and Paula Gogel...twin sister, Amanda, plays soccer at Indiana State University.
