2007: Excelled at every position she was put at during her sophomore
year, which included setter, defensive specialist, libero, and right side
hitter...played the last six matches of the season as USI's starting
setter...averaged 11.76 assists per game in 29 games as USI's starting
setter...she finished the season with a 4.11 assist-per-game average as well
as a 1.16 kills-per-game average...recorded 60 or more assists twice and 40
or more assists four times...had a season-best 64 assists against St. Cloud
State...reached double-digit kill totals in three matches including a
season-best 15 twice...had nine double-doubles...recorded 10 or more digs in
21 matches and recorded 20 or more digs in three matches...had a season-best
24 digs and was just two assists shy of a triple double against
Rockhurst...also averaged 0.65 blocks and 0.29 service aces per game...had
five or more blocks in three matches including a season-high 7.0 blocks
against Winona State...recorded a season-high six service aces and 22.5
points against Midwestern State...also averaged 3.45 digs and 1.80 points
per game.
TRANSFER: Transferred from Jacksonville State University where she saw
action in 25 matches as a freshman...was a member of the Gamecocks' 2006
Ohio Valley Conference championship team and NCAA Division I Tournament
qualifying squad...helped JSU to a 24-5 overall record and a 16-0 mark in
the OVC in 2006.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned six varsity letters in basketball and volleyball
at Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, Indiana...enjoyed a
tremendous senior season that saw her garner second-team All-State honors,
as well as academic All-State and first-team All-Conference accolades…was a
3A South All-Star Team invitee…received the HHHS Hustle Award following both
her junior and senior seasons…as a senior, was named the Pocket Athletic
Conference Player of the Week for the week of October 8…also a first-team
All-Conference player as a junior…led her team to the 2003 regional title as
a sophomore.
CLUB: Played club volleyball for Evansville River City from
2001-06.
PERSONAL: Born September 11, 1987...daughter of Ralph and Cindy Pund...was
valedictorian of her class at HHHS and a member of the National Honor
Society.
