USI’s Boehmer earns AVCA All-Region honors
University of Southern Indiana senior setter Kim Boehmer (Cincinnati, Ohio) was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region team in a vote done by AVCA member coaches. Boehmer becomes USI’s first two-time AVCA All-Region player in the program’s 24-year history.
Boehmer, who is USI’s first four-time All-GLVC honoree, finished second in the GLVC with 12.35 assists per game. She finished her career ranked third in GLVC history with a school-record 5,344 career assists.
To add to Boehmer’s setting records, she finished her career ranked sixth at USI with 971 career digs. Boehmer was third on the team with 2.47 digs per game in 2003.
A graduate of Roger Bacon High School in Cincinnati, Boehmer helped lead USI to a 96-31 overall record in four seasons. She was a part of more wins than any other player in USI volleyball history.
She led the Screaming Eagles to a 21-9 record and their fourth consecutive trip to the GLVC Championship match.
