The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team announced that freshman Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) has signed a national letter of intent for the 2004 season. Rahman is the third player to sign with Head Coach Craig Bere’s Screaming Eagles this spring.
Rahman, a 5’10” middle/outside hitter at Heritage Hills High School, earned first-team All-State honors as a senior in 2003 after leading HHHS to a conference, sectional, and regional championship. She led the Pocket Athletic Conference in kills as a junior and a senior and in blocks as a senior.
The two-time All-State honoree, earned All-Conference honors twice as well as Academic All-State honorable mention in 2003.
Rahman also competed in basketball, earning All-PAC honors twice and leading HHHS in scoring three times.
“Molly’s past speaks for itself and her future is going to be very exciting to watch,” Bere explained. “She has a ton of potential and will do great things for our program. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Molly and look forward to watching her grow as a player and person.”
Other players that have signed with USI are freshmen setters Cara Keever (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) and Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana).
