Ellerbusch, Wilson net All-Tournament honors
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Junior middle blocker Laura Ellerbusch (Newburgh, Indiana) and freshman setter Stephanie WilsonL (Terre Haute, Indiana) were named to the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region All-Tournament team for their performances in the University of Southern Indiana volleyball team’s run to the regional semifinals.
Ellerbusch averaged 4.0 kills, 3.0 digs, 0.88 blocks, and hit .381 during the Screaming Eagles’ two matches. Wilson averaged 12.25 assists, 1.12 kills, and 2.12 digs while setting USI’s offense to the tune of a .219 attacking percentage.
USI, the seventh seed in the tournament, defeated second-seeded and No. 16-ranked Ferris State University in the first round before falling to the sixth-seed, No. 21-ranked Northwood University in the semifinals.
The Eagles finished the season with a 24-7 record and were 17-1 against the GLVC.
