Emily Ryan (Batesville, Indiana) was named the GLVC Player of the Week after she recorded a pair of double-doubles in the Screaming Eagles' victories over Saint Joseph's College and the University of Indianapolis last weekend. The victories secured the fourth seed in the GLVC Tournament for USI.
The Player of the Week award is the second of Ryan's USI career and the second for USI in 2005. Senior middle blocker

In the exciting five-game victory over Indianapolis, Ryan recorded a match-high 22 kills and 17digs as well as a .356 attacking percentage. She had eight kills and a .700 attacking percentage in the second game alone to help the Eagles overcome a one-game deficit.
For the week, Ryan averaged 4.88 kills, a .329 attacking percentage, 3.62 digs, and 5.12 points per game.
The Eagles face the Indianapolis Greyhounds Thursday at 5 p.m. in the first round of the GLVC Tournament.
