Ellerbusch, Wilson earn Academic All-District V honors
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana volleyball senior middle blocker Laura Ellerbusch (Newburgh, Indiana) and sophomore setter Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana) have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V second team in a vote by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Ellerbusch, an elementary education major with a 3.81 grade point average, finished her career at USI as the school's all-time leader in attacking percentage (.325). She led the team with 1.12 blocks per game (bpg), a .271 attacking percentage, and was second on the squad with 3.25 kills per game. Ellerbusch also was selected to the All-GLVC team for the third straight year.

Wilson, a chemistry major with a 4.0 grade point average, earned first-team All-GLVC honors for the second straight season after averaging 12.03 assists per game, 2.77 digs per game, and 0.54 bpg. She finished the season with 1,407 assists and now ranks second all-time at USI with 2,878 career assists.
The marks the first time that either Ellerbusch or Wilson has been selected Academic All-District V.
To be eligible for Academic All-District and All-America, the nominee must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The student athlete must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and completed at least one full academic year at the institution.
District V includes NCAA II, NCAA III, and NAIA institutions from Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Manitoba and Ontario.
