Pund nets All-Tourney honors

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana volleyball sophomore right side hitter
Melanie Pund (Ferdinand, Indiana) was named to the University of West Florida Comfort Inn-vitational All-Tournament Team in a vote by the participating team's coaches.
Pund, a transfer from Jacksonville State University, averaged 2.44 kills, 3.17 digs, 0.72 blocks, and 0.67 service aces per game this past weekend to help lead the Screaming Eagles to a 2-2 record and a second-place finish in the UWF Comfort Inn-vitational.
On Saturday, Pund had 15 kills and six service aces to help lead USI to a 3-2 victory over Midwestern State University. She came back to record 15 kills, 23 digs, and four blocks in a 3-2 loss to Flagler College.
USI returns to action Friday when it takes on Bryant University Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the Lewis Flyer Invitational in Romeoville, Illinois.
