Eagles to play Indianapolis in GLVC Tournament
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team will play the No. 20-ranked University of Indianapolis Greyhounds in the first round of the GLVC Tournament Friday at 6:30 p.m. (CST) in Indianapolis, Indiana.
USI (15-13, 9-10 GLVC), which won its final three matches of the regular season, enters the GLVC Tournament as the number one wild card, while the Greyhounds (30-2, 18-1 GLVC) are the number one seed from the East Division and the tournament host.
Other first round match-ups include the third seed from the West Division, the University of Missouri-St. Louis, taking on the number two seed from the East Division, Lewis University, Friday at 11 a.m. The number two wild card, Drury University, will take on the number one seed from the West Division, No. 12-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, at 1:30 p.m. while the number three seed from the East Division, No. 23-ranked Northern Kentucky University, will face the number two seed from the West Division, Rockhurst University.
The semifinals are Saturday at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively, while the championship is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
