Rahman, Wilson earn academic honors,
Wilson nets first-team honors
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana volleyball senior setter Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana) and senior middle blocker Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) were named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District V team in a vote by the district's sports information directors.
Wilson was selected to the first team and will be on the ballot for the Academic All-America squad, while Rahman earned third team honors.
To be eligible for Academic All-District and All-America, the nominee must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The student athlete must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and completed at least one full academic year at the institution.
District V includes NCAA II, NCAA III, and NAIA institutions from Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Manitoba and Ontario.

This marks the third time in Wilson's career that she has earned Academic All-District honors. She has maintained a 4.00 grade point average while amassing more than 4,600 assists and nearly 1,000 digs in her career.
Wilson, who is majoring in chemistry, averaged 10.96 assists and 2.53 digs per game before injuries ended her 2007 campaign prematurely. She ranks second all-time at USI in career assists.

Rahman is earning her second straight Academic All-District honor after earning third-team honors as a junior in 2006. A three-time Academic All-GLVC performer, Rahman has carried a 3.96 GPA in exercise science and leads the Screaming Eagles in kills per game (3.05), blocks per game (1.18), and attacking percentage (.305) this season.
She is tied for first all-time at USI with 319 block assists and will have an opportunity to break that mark when she leads the Eagles (15-13, 9-10 GLVC) against No. 19 University of Indianapolis (30-2, 18-1 GLVC) Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the first round of the GLVC Tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana.
