Truitt nets All-League honors
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana senior guard Jamie Truitt (Owensboro, Kentucky) was named All-GLVC honorable mention in a vote done by the leagues coaches. It marks the second time in two seasons that Truitt has earned All-Conference honors.
Truitt led the Screaming Eagles with 14.2 points per game in 2004-05 while climbing into 13th all-time at USI with 846 career points. She finished her career ranked second at USI with 165 career three-pointers in two seasons as an Eagle. Counting her two seasons at Western Kentucky University, Truitt connected on 227 career three-pointers.
The Apollo High School graduate set a school-record and tied a league record with nine three pointers in a 71-62 loss at Saint Joseph’s College earlier this season. Truitt, who reached her career-high of 31 points in a game twice, scored at least 20 points in a game five times this season, 16 times in her career at USI. She reached double-digits in the scoring column 19 times this season and 43 times in her career with the Eagles.
