Eagles to play Morehead State in exhibition,
Picked to finish fifth in GLVC's West Division
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team announced that it has picked up an exhibition game with NCAA Division I Morehead State University. The game will be played November 6 at 6 p.m. (CST) in Morehead, Kentucky.
USI, which was 15-15 overall a year ago, opens the exhibition season November 3 with a home game against the St. Louis Goldstars. The Screaming Eagles open the 2006-07 regular season November 15 at the University of Central Missouri.
The Eagles' home slate begins November 21 with the University of Illinois-Springfield, while GLVC play starts with USI playing host to Kentucky Wesleyan College December 2.
USI was picked to finish fifth in the West Division of the GLVC in a vote by the league's coaches. The GLVC Preseason Poll, which was released Tuesday morning, tabbed Drury University as the favorite to win the West and Northern Kentucky University as the favorite to take home the title in the East Division.
