Eagles cruise to 30-point victory
at Southern Indiana (3-1): 86

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team cruised to an 86-56 victory over Maryville College Thursday evening at the Physical Activities Center.
USI (3-1) shot a season-best 59.6 percent from the floor, including a blistering 66.7 percent in the first half, to post its third straight victory.
Senior guard Katie Thiesenhusen
(Jeffersonville, Indiana) led the Screaming Eagles with 18 points and a career-high seven assists, while senior forward Michelle King
(Columbus, Indiana) added 13 points and three assists.
The Eagles dominated the lane as they out-rebounded the Mustangs 44-36 and outscored the Mustangs 48-18 in the paint. USI also scored 25 points off 19 Marygrove turnovers.
Sophomore forward/center Brittany Neuman
(Huntingburg, Indiana) and junior forward Jasmine Baines
(Jeffersonville, Indiana) led the Eagles with six rebounds apiece. Baines finished with nine points, while Neuman added a career-best eight points.
Marygrove (4-4) got a game-high 20 points from freshman guard Shanaye Davis as well as 18 points and eight rebounds from junior guard Karmen Byrd. Junior guard/forward Amanda DeGain added 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
USI opens GLVC play Saturday when it hosts Kentucky Wesleyan College (5-0, 0-0 GLVC) at 5:15 p.m. at the PAC. The Eagles lead the all-time series with the Panthers, 38-23, and are 11-2 against KWC since 2000.
