Baines finished a career year for the Screaming Eagles last Saturday that saw her averaged 17.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest. She finished the regular season as the GLVC's fifth-leading scorer and sixth-leading rebounder.
Including the scoring and rebounding columns, Baines was ranked in seven GLVC statistical categories. She was second in the regular season in blocks per game (1.74), sixth in offensive rebounds per game (2.52), eighth in defensive rebounds per game (4.48), 12th in shooting percentage (.483), and 24th in minutes played per game (29.70).
Baines, who was an honorable mention All-GLVC performer as a sophomore in 2005-06, wrapped up her three-year career at USI as the Eagles' seventh all-time leading scorer (1,209) and 11th all-time leading rebounding (496). She scored in double-figures 65 times, 25 coming this year, and had 17 20-point outings, nine of which were recorded this season. Baines also had seven career double-doubles, three of which were tallied this year.
"I am very happy to see Jasmine's name in the top 10 of the All-GLVC voting," Head Coach
Rick Stein said. "She has been an integral part of our program the last three years, both on and off the court."
Drury University's Molly Carter was the GLVC Player of the Year, while the University of Indianapolis' Samantha Meissel was named the GLVC Freshman of the Year. Drury Head Coach Steve Harold was voted as the GLVC Coach of the Year.
