Neuman earns GLVC Player of the Week honors
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana senior forward/center Brittany Neuman (Huntingburg, Indiana) has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts in the Screaming Eagles' 88-80 victory over Edinboro University Saturday evening.

Neuman racked up a career-high 24 points and 13 rebounds to spark USI to its second straight win.
With the Eagles clinging to a five-point lead in the second half, Neuman scored five straight points to spark a decisive 14-0 run. She also had 15 points in the first half to help the Eagles overcome an early seven-point deficit and take a 48-38 halftime lead.
For the game, Neuman went 9-of-11 (.818) from the floor and converted all six of her free throws. She also had a pair of blocks.
In three games this season, Neuman is averaging a career-high 14.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. She leads the GLVC in rebounding and is second in the league with 2.0 blocks per game.
Neuman, who also is tied for 14th in the GLVC in scoring, is a pre-nursing major and a graduate of Southridge High School (Huntingburg).
USI (2-1) returns to action tonight when it hosts Mid-Continent University at 5:15 p.m.
