Stuckman earns GLVC “Player of the Week” honors
Sophomore forward Jessica Stuckman (Quincy, Illinois) earned Great Lakes Valley Conference “Player of the Week” honors after leading the University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball team to a pair go GLVC road victories this past weekend. It is the second time this season and the third time in her career that she earned the honor.
Stuckman, who earned GLVC “Freshman of the Year” honors last season, had a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds in USI’s 77-52 victory at Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday. She followed the UWP game with an 18-point, 13-rebound performance in USI’s 76-73 overtime-win at Saint Joseph’s on Saturday.
For the week, Stuckman averaged a team-high 19.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in the two wins. On the season, Stuckman is averaging a conference-high 20.1 points per game and is tied for the team lead in rebounds (6.7 rpg).
Stuckman and the Screaming Eagles will host third-ranked Northern Kentucky University this Thursday, January 24. Game time is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. at the Physical Activities Center.
