OVERALL
Is a three-time All-American as well as a five-time All-GLVC
honoree...won the 2006 GLVC Cross Country title and was the GLVC
Scholar-Athlete of the Year for cross country as well as track and field in
2006-07...has won a total of six races, including three GLVC titles.
2007-08
CROSS COUNTRY: Redshirted. INDOOR TRACK: Redshirted. OUTDOOR
TRACK: Earned first-team All-GLVC honors after finishing second in the
5,000 meters and seventh in the 3,000 meters at the GLVC
Championships...finished first in the 5,000 meters at the SEMOtion Relays
with a season-best time of 18:18.45...ran the 3,000 meters in a season-best
time of 10:28.75 at the Eastern Kentucky Open...was third in the 10,000
meters at the Washington Invitational with a season-best time of
37:51.61...earned Academic All-GLVC honors for the third straight year.
2006-07
OVERALL: Earned three All-America awards, was the GLVC Cross Country
Runner of the Year, and was the GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for cross
country as well as track and field...won a combined three conference titles
and earned a total of three All-GLVC honors...was the USI/Integra Bank
Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
CROSS COUNTRY: Earned All-America honors after posting the second-best
finish at the NCAA II National Championships (15th) by a USI women's runner
in the program's history...posted the second-fastest 6k time in school
history when she finished the NCAA II Championships in 20:47.40...earned
All-Region honors after finishing second at the NCAA II Great Lakes Region
Championships with a 6k time of 21:41.20...was the GLVC Runner of the Year
after winning the GLVC Championship with a 6k time of 21:46.07...also earned
All-GLVC honors for the second straight season...was second at the Saluki
Invitational with a season-best 5k time of 17:56.24...time ranks her fourth
all-time at USI in the 5k...finished second in the Little State competition,
11th overall, of the Indiana Intercollegiate with a 5k time of
18:32.70...finished first with a 4k time of 13:59.00 at the USI Alumni
Opener...was named the GLVC Runner of the Week twice (September 6 and
October 11)...named the GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for cross
country...earned Academic All-GLVC honors for the second straight season.
INDOOR TRACK: Earned All-America honors after finishing fifth in the
5,000 meters at the NCAA II Indoor Championships with a season-best time of
17:09.34...time ranks her second all-time at USI in the event...also earned
All-GLVC honors after finishing first in the 3,000 meters at the GLVC
Championships with a time of 10:02.38...set a school-record in the 3,000
meters (9:53.98) at the Hoosier Relays...won the mile at the Saluki Booster
Invitational with a season-best time of 5:07.08...also ran the 800 meters in
2:26.47 at the Saluki Booster Invitational...helped USI's distance medley
relay team to two second-place finishes, one third-place showing, and a
ninth-place finish at the NCAA II Indoor Championships...USI's DMR was
second at the GLVC Championship and second at the Hoosier Hills Invitational
with a season-best time of 11:58.81. OUTDOOR TRACK: Earned
All-America honors after finishing fifth in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA II
Outdoor Championships with a time of 36:20.46...also finished 12th in the
5,000 meters at the NCAA II Championships with a time of 18:26.06...earned
All-GLVC honors after winning the 5,000 meters at the GLVC Championships
with a time of 17:41.63...set a school-record in the 10,000 meters
(35:51.74) at the Mt. SAC Relays...earned GLVC Track Athlete of the Week
honors following Mt. SAC performance...ran the 5,000 meters in a season-best
17:18.84 at the Dr. Keeler Invitational...ran the 3,000 meters in a
season-best 9:53.16 at the Vanderbilt Invitational...ranks fourth all-time
at USI in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters...ran the 1,500 meters in 4:48.08
at the Gatorade Classic...earned Academic All-GLVC honors and was named the
GLVC Scholar Athlete of the Year for track and field.
2005-06
CROSS COUNTRY: Earned GLVC Freshman of the Year and All-GLVC honors
after finishing 10th at the GLVC Championships...ran top three for the
Eagles in six races and top five in all of USI's seven races...finished 37th
at the NCAA II Great Lakes Regional Championships with a 6k time of
23:20.40...was USI's top finisher at the NCAA II Championships after
finishing 83rd with a 6k time of 23:48.50...placed 13th at the Saluki
Invitational with a 5k time of 19:04.40...finished 15th in the Little State
competition of the Indiana Intercollegiate and 38th overall with a 5k time
of 19:36.00...finished sixth at the UE Early Bird Invitational with a 4k
time of 15:39.40...earned Academic All-GLVC honors. INDOOR TRACK:
Finished fourth at the GLVC Championships in the 5,000 meters with a
season-best time of 18:30.82...also finished seventh in the 3,000 meters at
the GLVC Championships...posted a third-place finish in the 3,000 meters at
the Hoosier Hills Invitational with a season-best time of 10:32.52...ran the
mile in 5:21.38 at the DePauw Invitational. OUTDOOR TRACK: Was fourth
in the 5,000 meters at the GLVC Championships with a season-best time of
18:30.42...was USI's top 10,000-meter runner as a freshman, posting a
season-best and NCAA II provisional qualifying time of 37:13.03 at the
Hillsdale "Gina" Relays...finished fourth at the Little State Championships
in the 10,000 meters with a time of 38:17.12...ran the 3,000 meters in
10:21.37 at the Vanderbilt Invitational...earned Academic All-GLVC honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from North Daviess High School where earned eight varsity letters in volleyball, basketball, track, and cross country...was the most valuable distance runner for NDHS’s track team in 2002 and 2003 and helped her cross country team to the South West Indiana Athletic Conference championship last season...also was named MVP of her cross country team three times...was a three-time All-Area MVP in cross country and took the SWIAC championship as a senior in 2004...won conference titles in the 800 meters, 1,600 meters, and 3,200 meters as a junior during the 2004 track and field season...was the 2004 sectional champion in the 3,200 meters.
