CROSS COUNTRY: Finished 19th in the open competition of the Little State
Championships with a 5k time of 21:28.00...was 56th at the Saluki
Invitational with a 5k time of 20:34.81...also finished 26th at the UE Early
Bird Invitational with a 4k time of 17:13.50. INDOOR TRACK: Finished
ninth in the 800 meters at the GLVC Championships...posted a season-best
800-meter time of 2:24.30 at the Hoosier Relays...helped USI's 4x400-meter
relay team to a fifth-place performance at the GLVC Championships with a
season-best time of 4:18.72...also helped USI's distance medley relay team
to a second-place finish at the GLVC Championships. OUTDOOR TRACK:
Placed seventh in the 800 meters at the GLVC Championships with a
season-best time of 2:22.68...also was eighth at the league meet in the
1,500 meters...posted her best 1,500-meter time (4:47.24) at the Vanderbilt
Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from New Albany High School where she earned eight varsity letters in cross country and track...became the second female in NAHS history to qualify, individually, for four IHSAA Cross Country Championship meets in 2004...was a two-time All-State and four-time All-Conference performer and finished a career-best 39th as a sophomore at the 2002 State Championship meet...helped her cross country team to sectional championships in 2001 and 2002 as well as a regional championship in 2002...was a high school teammate of USI All-American Missy Burgin...also helped lead NAHS to four sectional titles in track and field as well as a regional runner-up this spring...qualified for the state meet in the 800 meters in 2004, where she finished 15th, and helped the NAHS 3,200-meter relay team to the state meet four times...was a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Student Council and other student organizations.
