USI track and field to compete at Indiana State,
Cooksey to run at Mt. SAC Relays
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana men’s and women’s track and field teams have made a change in their schedules this weekend. Instead of competing at the Indy Relays in Indianapolis on Saturday, the Screaming Eagles will compete in the Indiana State University Pacesetter Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana.
USI will run just two distance runners this week, with junior Heather Cooksey (Brownsburg, Indiana) competing in the 5,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California, on Friday at 8:30 p.m. and junior Jake England (Valparaiso, Indiana) competing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in Terre Haute on Saturday.
The Eagles will have a small sprint squad as well as a few fielders competing in Terre Haute.
