CARBONDALE, Ill.—Juniors
Missy Burgin (Sellersburg, Indiana) and
Molly Gilland (Osgood, Indiana) recorded NCAA II provisional qualifying marks this weekend as the University of Southern Indiana indoor women's track and field team finished fourth at the McDonald's Invitational with 56 points.
Burgin won the mile with a provisional time of five minutes, 4.22 seconds before finishing second in the 800 meters with a time of two minutes, 23.59 seconds. Gilland won the high jump with a provisional mark of five feet, five inches (1.65m).

Sophomore
Scott Forbey (Washington, Indiana) led the men's squad with a pair of first-place finishes. Forbey won the high jump—he just missed a provisional mark with a school-record leap of six feet, 6.75 inches—after placing first in the pole vault.
Senior
Jesse Davis (Bloomington, Indiana) recorded USI's fifth win of the meet, placing first in the 800 meters with a time of one minute, 55.82 seconds.
USI's men finished in a tie for third with 68 points.
The Eagles return to action Friday as they compete at the Hoosier Relays in Bloomington, Indiana.
