Stock posts provisional time in third event,
Shafer puts up mark in 10,000 meters

HILLSDALE, Mich.—University of Southern Indiana women's track and field senior
Crystal Stock (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) posted an NCAA II provisional qualifying time in the 5,000 meters this weekend at the 40th Annual Hillsdale "Gina" Relays.
Stock finished 13th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17 minutes, 8.67 seconds, marking the third different event Stock has posted a provisional time in this spring. She also posted provisional marks in the 1,500 and 3,000 meters earlier this season.

Freshman
Allison Shafer (Plainville, Indiana) also posted a provisional qualifying time this weekend. She finished fifth in the 10,000 meters with a time of 37 minutes, 13.03 seconds.
USI's best finish of the weekend was put up by the men's 4x800-meter relay team. Seniors
Jesse Davis (Bloomington, Indiana) and
Jake England (Valparaiso, Indiana), along with freshmen
Andy Jellema (Dyer, Indiana) and
Brandon Jones (Ft. Wayne, Indiana), led USI to a fourth-place finish in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of seven minutes, 46.82 seconds.
The Screaming Eagles will compete at the GLVC Championships May 5-6 in Rensselaer, Indiana. The NCAA II Championships are May 25-27 in Emporia, Kansas.
