On the track, Glick was a four-time regional qualifier in the 3,200 meters as well as a three-time regional qualifier in the 1,600 meters. Glick also won county and sectional titles in the 3,200 meters, the 1,600 meters, and the 3,200-meter relay. Whiteman graduated from Bloomington North High School where she earned eight varsity letters in cross country and track. Whiteman helped BNHS to a sectional and regional championship in cross country in 2004 as well as conference and sectional titles in track and field in 2004 and 2005.

A two-time All-State performer in cross country, Whiteman won the regional and city championship in 2005 and was BNHS's most valuable runner three times. She also earned All-Conference honors in cross country and set the 4k course record last fall at the Brown County Regional with her personal-best time of 14 minutes, 39 seconds.

On the track, Whiteman won a sectional title in the 3,200 meters in 2005 and won the Outstanding State Series Award. She posted personal-best times of 11 minutes, 42 seconds in the 3,200 meters five minutes, 28 seconds in the 1,600 meters and two minutes, 21 seconds in the 800 meters.

Whiteman was a three-time state qualifier in both cross country and track.

"Danielle and Sarah both have the potential to be top five performers for us this fall," Hillyard said. "Their addition rounds out what I believe to be the best recruiting class we have ever had here. They will both make an immediate and significant impact."

Glick and Whiteman join Lauren Crick (Evansville, Indiana), Samantha Eliason (Crawfordsville, Indiana), Leslee Getts (Corunna, Indiana), and Tiffney Whitley (Crossville, Illinois) on USI's list of signees for the 2006-07 campaign.
