Eagles record five top-five finishes

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's track and field team had five competitors record top-five finishes in its indoor season-opener Saturday at the Indiana Open II.

Missy Burgin |
Senior
Missy Burgin (Sellersburg, Indiana) led the Screaming Eagles with a second-place finish in the 3,000 meters and a fourth-place finish in the mile. Burgin finished the 3,000 meters with 10 minutes, 20.62 second, after finishing the mile in five minutes, 9.51 seconds.
Sophomore
Lacy Williams (Haubstadt, Indiana) and freshman
Lauren Crick (Evansville, Indiana) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 600 meters, while senior
Molly Gilland (Osgood, Indiana) was fifth in the high jump.
The Eagles return to action next Saturday when they compete at the Saluki Booster Invitational in Carbondale, Illinois.
