Eagles post seven top-10 finishes,
Burgin posts provisional qualifying time
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's track and field team recorded seven top-10 finishes this weekend at the Gladstein Invitational.
Senior Missy Burgin
(Sellersburg, Indiana) highlighted the weekend with a seventh-place finish in the mile (invitational) and an NCAA II provisional qualifying time of five minutes, 3.07 seconds.
Burgin also was a part of the Screaming Eagles' distance medley relay team that finished third with a time of 12 minutes, 26.45 seconds. Sophomores Christy Dixon
(Owensboro, Kentucky) and Lacy Williams
(Haubstadt, Indiana) as well as freshman Lauren Crick
(Evansville, Indiana) also competed on USI's DMR this weekend.
Sophomore Allison Shafer
(Plainville, Indiana) posted USI's top individual finish as she placed third in the 3,000 meters (invitational) with a time of 10 minutes, 3.46 seconds.
USI returns to action Friday and Saturday when it competes at the Hoosier Relays in Bloomington, Indiana.
