EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana women's track and field sophomore Christy Dixon (Owensboro, Kentucky) and senior Molly Gilland (Osgood, Indiana) each posted fifth-place finishes this weekend.

Dixon was fifth in the 800 meters at the Hoosier Relays after narrowly missing an NCAA II provisional qualifying time in the prelims when she crossed the finish line in two minutes, 17.84 seconds. Gilland tied for fifth in the high jump at the McDonald's Invitational with a mark of five feet, 0.25 inches.
Sophomore
Allison Shafer (Plainville, Indiana) rounded out the Screaming Eagles' top-10 finishers with a sixth-place showing in the 3000 meters (invitational) at the Hoosier Relays.
USI competes in two meets next weekend with a small squad participating at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, and the rest of the team competing at the DePauw Invitational in Greencastle, Indiana.
