Eagles finish 10th at Little State

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's track and field team finished 10th out of 16 teams at the Indiana Little State Championships this weekend. The Screaming Eagles amassed four top-five finishes and 27 total points.

Lauren Crick (Evansville, Indiana) and sophomore
Marcia Weflen (Rossville, Indiana) led the Eagles with third-place finishes in the 800 meters and 3,000-meter steeplechase, respectively. Crick ran the 800 meters in two minutes, 19.97 seconds, while Weflen finished the steeplechase in 11 minutes, 34.67 seconds.
Senior
Carrie Leimberger (Indianapolis, Indiana) finished fourth in the 1,500 meters, while freshman
Sarah Whiteman (Bloomington, Indiana) was fifth in the 5,000 meters.
USI returns to action April 20-21 when it partakes in the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.
