EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana sophomore Allison Shafer (Plainville, Indiana) and senior Carrie Leimberger (Indianapolis, Indiana) turned out some solid performances this weekend at the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays in Hillsdale, Michigan.

Shafer posted an NCAA II provisional qualifying time in the 5,000 meters when she finished 16th out of 102 competitors with a time of 17 minutes, 33.32 seconds. Leimberger was sixth out of 35 competitors in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10 minutes, 26.66 seconds.
The Screaming Eagles also competed at the SIU Edwardsville Twilight Open Saturday night in Edwardsville, Illinois. USI posted four top-10 finishes, including sophomore
Sarah Baysden's (Shelbyville, Indiana) third-place finish in the 5,000 meters.
USI returns to action May 4-5 when it competes at the GLVC Championships in Edwardsville.
