Cooksey returning to women's track team
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Senior Heather Cooksey (Brownsburg, Indiana) has returned to the University of Southern Indiana to finish her eligibility in track and field and continue her work toward a degree.
Cooksey is one of the most decorated female student-athletes in USI history, having garnered 10 All-America awards. The 2004 national champion in the outdoor 3,000 meters is a 14-time All-GLVC performer and 10-time GLVC Champion.
She is expected to see her first action this weekend when the Screaming Eagles take part in the Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana.
