Ballinger posts provisional time at Iowa State

AMES, Iowa—University of Southern Indiana women's track and field sophomore
Mary Ballinger (Chesterton, Indiana) posted an NCAA II provisional qualifying time in the 5,000 meters Friday evening at the Iowa State Classic.
Ballinger finished 11th in the seeded 5,000 meters with a time of 17 minutes, 25.99 seconds. Freshman
Leslee Getts (Corunna, Indiana) was 37th in the unseeded 5,000 meters with a time of 18 minutes, 43.97 seconds.
Senior
Tristan Mannix (Crothersville, Indiana) and freshman
David Goodman (Valparaiso, Indiana) were unable to reach provisional marks in the men's 5,000 meters. Goodman was 30th with a time of 15 minutes, 11.66 seconds, while Mannix finished 35th with a time of 15 minutes, 26.71 seconds.
The rest of the Screaming Eagles are in action Saturday at the DePauw Classic in Greencastle, Indiana.
