Night Flight Road Run scheduled for July 19
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana cross country/track and field program will hold the 31st annual Night Flight Road Run Saturday, July 19, on the USI campus. The Night Flight Road Run will consist of a half-mile run, for kids seven-and-under, as well as a four-mile run and one-mile run.
Registration fees are $15 ($12 for the seven-and-under half-mile) for entries postmarked or received on or before July 14. Entrants running both the four-mile and one-mile run should add an addition $5 and include a second entry form.
Late registration will be from 6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. July 19 on the USI campus. The late registration fee will be $20 for one race and $25 for both races as well as $15 for the seven-and-under half-mile run.
The race times are 7:45 p.m. for the seven-and-under half-mile race 8 p.m. for the one-mile run and 8:30 p.m. for the four-mile run. The awards presentation will follow the four-mile run at the USI Physical Activities Center.
Proceeds from the Night Flight Road Run help fund the USI cross country/track and field programs. The Screaming Eagles' Grass Roots Series, which resumes tonight with the second installment of the five-race series, also helps fund the USI cross country/track and field program. The third race is slated for July 3, while the fourth and fifth races in the Grass Roots Series are July 23 and August 7, respectively.
