Curtis to compete at USA Cross Country Championships

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana freshman women's cross country/track runner
Adrienne Curtis (Louisville, Kentucky) will be competing at the USA Junior Cross Country Championships Saturday at 10:45 a.m. (CST) in Washington, D.C.
The top six finishers on Saturday, who accept their spot, will represent the United States at the World Cross Country Championships in Amman, Jordan on March 28. The next five to accept their spot will represent the United States at the North America, Central American, and Caribbean (NACAC) Championships (NACAC) in Cocoa Beach, Florida on March 7. NACAC will consist of teams from Canada, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, and Martinique.
Curtis helped lead the Screaming Eagles to a first-place finish at the GLVC Championships this past fall. She finished sixth overall with a time of 22 minutes, 9.72 seconds and earned All-GLVC honors.
The Assumption High School (Louisville, Kentucky) graduate earned first-team All-State honors after helping her prep team to the 2007 Class 3A KHSAA Championship.
