Dixon leads Eagles at Rose-Hulman

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.—Junior Christy Dixon (Owensboro, Kentucky) posted a pair of first-place finishes to lead the University of Southern Indiana women's track and field team at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet Friday night.

Dixon won the 1,500 meters with a stadium and meet record time of four minutes, 38.27 seconds and the 3,000 meters with a time of 10 minutes, 40.57 seconds. Dixon's 1,500-meter time was less than a second away from meeting an NCAA II provisional qualifying standard.
In addition to Dixon's first-place effort, sophomore
Leslee Getts (Corunna, Indiana) finished first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11 minutes, 48.26 seconds.

As a team, the Screaming Eagles had 12 top-five finishes and 14 top-10 performances. Freshman
Shelby Key (Chandler, Indiana) posted second-place finishes in both the 100 and 200 meters, while junior
Lacy Williams (Haubstadt, Indiana) had a second-place effort in the 1,500 meters and a third-place showing in the 3,000 meters.
USI returns to action April 24-25 when it competes at the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays in Hillsdale, Michigan, and the Stan Lyons Open in Indianapolis, Indiana.
