USI women's golf hits links for first time this season
The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team competed this past weekend at the Northern Kentucky University Spring Invitational. The Screaming Eagles, who have three golfers back from the fall roster, did not post a team score.
Sophomore Jennifer Beaman (Evansville, Indiana) led USI with a two-day total of 185 (96, 89). Beaman finished in a tie for 41st.
Fellow classmate Brandi Irvin (Benton, Indiana) finished in a tie for 44th with a two-day total of 188 (98, 90) while freshman Megan Kries (Lebanon, Indiana) finished 49th with a 194 (95, 99) in the two-day tournament.
USI will compete at the Indianapolis Golf Classic this afternoon at The Links Golf Club in New Palestine, Indiana. The tournament is scheduled as a one-day tournament.
