USI women’s golf finishes third at DePauw Small College Classic
The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team placed third this past weekend at the DePauw Small College Classic on the Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Gosport, Indiana. The Screaming Eagles shot a 350 on the first day and a 342 on the second day to finish with a two-day 692.
Junior Brandi Irvin (Benton, Illinois) finished eighth to lead USI in the tournament. Irvin shot an 80 on the first day and followed with an 83 in the second round as she tied her best two-round total of the season (163).
Fellow classmate Jennifer Beaman (Evansville, Indiana) finished 11th with a two-day total of 171 while freshman Amanda Zehner (Henderson, Kentucky) shot a 173 to finish 12th in the tournament.
The Eagles will compete in the GLVC Championships next Sunday and Monday, October 6-7, at the Piper Glenn Golf Course in Springfield, Illinois.
