Screaming Eagles are seventh after first round
The University of Southern Indiana women's golf team is seventh after the first round of the EKU Lady Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky University at the Arlington Golf Course in Richmond, Kentucky. The tournament, which is scheduled for 54 holes, will continue with the second round on Friday and conclude on Saturday.
The Eagles shot 323 as a team, 22 strokes behind first place Murray State University. USI also is one stroke behind sixth-place Northern Kentucky University, which shot a 322, and two shots behind fifth-place Ball State University.
Sophomore Amanda Zehner (Henderson, Kentucky) leads the Eagles, shooting a first-round 76 and tying for seventh.
