Eagle golfers fourth after round one,
Pendergraff one stroke off lead

ALLENDALE, Mich.—The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team is in fourth place, just seven strokes off the lead, heading into the final round of the Laker Fall Classic at The Meadows Golf Course. The Screaming Eagles shot a 325 on Monday to position themselves for today’s final round.

Sophomore Megan Pendergraff (Henderson, Kentucky) led the Eagles and was in a tie for second after shooting an opening-round 77. Pendergraff is just one stroke off the lead, currently held by Oakland University’s Stacey Goins.

Host Grand Valley State University currently holds the team lead after shooting a 318 during the first round. Ferris State University and Oakland University are in a tie for second with a 321 heading into today’s final round.

USI junior Alisha Luigs (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) is tied for eighth after shooting an 80 in the first round.
