USI women’s golf finishes third at IWU Fall Classic

NORMAL, Ill.—The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team shot a closing-round 313 Sunday to finish third at the Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Classic at the Ironwood Country Club. The Screaming Eagles shot a 309 to open the tournament on Saturday and were in second heading into today’s final round.
Freshman Audrey Ramsey (Muncie, Indiana) shot a 75 to open the tournament and a 76 in the final round to finish in a tie for fifth place with a 151. Sophomore Megan Pendergraff (Henderson, Kentucky) also shot a 76 on the closing day after shooting a 78 to open the tournament on Saturday. She finished in a tie for 11th with a 154.
USI will host the Screaming Eagles Golf Classic September 26-27 at the Helfrich Hills Golf Course in Evansville, Indiana. The GLVC Championships are a week later at the Piper Glenn Golf Course in Springfield, Illinois.
