USI women’s golf team ranked 10th nationally NGCA Top 25
EVANSVILLE, IN – Playing in one of the toughest regions of the NCAA Division II, the University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team is tied for 10th nationally in the National Golf Coaches Association NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released by The Golf Channel.
The Screaming Eagles concluded the fall season with a second place finish in the GLVC Tournament, led by junior Alisha Luigs (Mt. Vernon, Indiana). Luigs was the GLVC Player of the Year after shooting a school record 69 in the first round and 146 (69-77) for the tournament.
From the NCAA II’s East Region, Ferris State University is ranked number one, while Grand Valley State University is third and Northern Kentucky University is sixth. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is 21st in the poll.
