USI women’s golf announces early signee
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team announced that Kayla Roark (Waterloo, Indiana) has signed a national letter of intent during the early signing period to play for Head Coach Don Bisesi’s Screaming Eagles in 2005-06.
Roark is a senior at DeKalb High School where she was a member of the 2004 conference and sectional championship team. She holds the school records for most first-place finishes and the lowest nine-hole score (34).
The All-Area performer also has the school’s second-lowest average in school-history.
Roark won the 2003 Club Championship in junior golf and took home five Mountain Dew Junior Tour Championships in 2003 and 2004. She also won multiple tournaments around the Ft. Wayne area.
“Kayla has the ability to help us all achieve our goals,” Bisesi said. “I am looking forward to seeing her play next year.”
