Women's golf is fifth at NKU Spring Invitational
PERRY PARK, Ky. The University of SOuthern Indiana women's golf team took fifth at the Northern Kentucky University Spring Invitational after the second round would rained out on Sunday. NKU hosted the tournament at Perry Park Golf Course in Perry Park, Kentucky.
The Screaming Eagles shot 322 as a team in the first round, led by junior Alisha Luigs (Mt. Vernon, Indiana). Luigs tied for 10th after shooting a 77.
Junior Carly Ellard (Evansville, Indiana) followed Luig, tying for 19th with an 81, while freshmen Audrey Ramsey (Muncie, Indiana) and Ashley Ramig (Milan, Indiana) tied for 27th with both shooting an 82.
The Eagles resume spring play Monday and Tuesday at the Bellarmine Invitational. Bellarmine University is hosting the tournament at the Persimmon Ridge Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
