Women’s golfers finish second at Bellarmine
LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team shot a 342 Tuesday at the Persimmon Ridge Golf Course to finish second at the Bellarmine University Invitational. The Screaming Eagles were 14 shots off the winning score, recorded by Northern Kentucky University.
Junior Alisha Luigs (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) led the Eagles with an 81, just three strokes of NKU’s Kim Keyer-Scott first-place score of 78. Luigs finished in a tie for third.
Freshman Audrey Ramsey (Muncie, Indiana) and junior Tara Ulmer (Bluffton, Indiana) each tied for eighth, recording matching scores of 83 in the one-day tournament.
USI will return to action when it competes in the University of Illinois Spring Classic April 8-9 at the Stone Creek Country Club in Urbana, Illinois.
