Wiley chooses USI to continue golf career
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team announced that Tara Wiley (Oxford, Indiana) has chosen to continue her golfing career with Head Coach Don Bisesi’s Screaming Eagles in 2005-06. Wiley is the second women’s golfer to sign a national letter of intent for the upcoming season.
The four-time All-Conference performer at Benton Central High School was a sectional and regional medalist as a senior as well as an All-State performer. She was BCHS’s MVP all four seasons.
Wiley, who was a two-time Central Indiana Junior Golf Association Girls Player of the Year, led BCHS to two sectional titles as well as a trip to the IHSAA State Championship meet.
“We are very excited to have Tara Wiley coming into our program,” Bisesi said. “She is an Indiana All-State player with a great work ethic. She is a very good player and should step in and contribute right away.”
Wiley joins Kayla Roark (Waterloo, Indiana), who signed during the early signing period.
