USI women’s golf finishes fifth at regional
ALLENDALE, Mich. – The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team finished fifth at the NCAA Division II East Regional in Allendale, Michigan. The regional was played at The Meadows at Grand Valley State University.
The Screaming Eagles (352-344-340) shot 1036 during the 54-hole tournament.
Grand Valley State University (324-322-306) won the tournament with a three-round 952, while Ferris State University (324-322-313) was second with a 959. Northern Kentucky University (318-323-333), which had led the tournament after the first two rounds, placed third with a 974.
Individually, freshman Audrey Ramsey (Muncie, Indiana) led the Eagles and was 10th overall with a three-round 244 (78-82-4). Junior Alisha Luigs (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) followed Ramsey with a 263 (83-91-89) in 21st place, while sophomore Ashley Ramig (Milan, Indiana) was three strokes behind with a 266 (94-81-91) and tied for 24th.
