USI women’s golf is sixth at Bulldog Fall Invitational

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Southern Indiana women’s golf team finished sixth at the Bulldog Fall Invitational hosted by Ferris State University at the Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Michigan.
The Screaming Eagles turned in a two-round 653 (330-323), 38 strokes off the pace set by Ferris State. The Bulldogs won their home tournament with a 615 (309-306).
Individually, senior Alisha Luigs (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) led USI and was 10th overall with a 36-hole 157 (79-78). She was followed by senior Tara Ulmer (Bluffton, Indiana) with a 162 (82-80). The tournament was won by an individual, Audra Walter of Grand Valley State University with a 149 (74-75).
The Eagles resume action in Michigan Monday in the first round of the 36-hole Radisson Laker Fall Classic hosted by Grand Valley State at The Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Michigan. The final 18-holes will be Tuesday.
