USI women's golf signs a pair for 2006-07
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's golf team announced the signing of Brittney Kyler and Renee DeCaro to national letters of intent for the 2006-07 season. Kyler and DeCaro are the first two to sign with USI Head Coach Don Bisesi this fall.
Kyler, a senior at Columbia City High School (Columbia City, Indiana), is a three-time All-Conference selection and was named All-Area as a senior. She also had the team's best season average all four years and was 12-2 in head-to-head competition as a senior.
The native Columbia City, Indiana, placed third at the Indiana Golf Association Age Group Championship and tied for 29th in the Mountain Dew Junior Tour, age 17-19.
DeCaro is a senior at LaPorte High School (LaPorte, Indiana) where she has lettered in golf. She also lettered in track and field at Marquette High School in 2003.
The native of LaPorte, Indiana, was the team Most Valuable Player three straight years, was named Academic All-State in 2005, and placed 13th at IHSAA State Tournament this year.
"Both of these girls are products of the Indiana Junior Golf Association, and will impact the future of the USI women's golf program," said Bisesi. "I am delighted they are coming to school here."
