USI ties for sixth at NKU Spring Invitational

PERRY PARK, Ky. The University of Southern Indiana women's golf team tied for sixth in the Northern Kentucky University Spring Invitational March 25-26. The tournament was hosted by NKU at the Perry Park Golf Course in Perry Park, Kentucky.
The Screaming Eagles shot a two-day 643 (325-318), 17 strokes off the pace set by Drury University. Drury won the tournament by shooting a 36-hole 616 (311-305).
USI freshman Tara Wiley (Oxford, Indiana) led the team by tying for 12th with a two-round 156 (78-78). She was followed by senior Alisha Luigs (Mt. Vernon, Indiana), who tied for 18th with a 36-hole 158 (83-75).
The Eagles resume action Monday and Tuesday in the Bellarmine Invitational at the Persimmon Ridge Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
